It's A Small World After All!
In our electronic age, the women's designer clothing exemplified by the world of fashion is shown to all of us just as soon as the models hit the runway. The images are flashed around the world and all we have to do is translate the trends and what is "in" to our personal taste and to find an expression for it at our local favorite retailer.
Sounds easy doesn't it but if you have lived with fashion a while, it's difficult. My personal take is that I need to find designers with whom I'm in "synch" and try to stay with them. Yes, I love checking the collections but I'm not going to live and die by them. I also need to find retailers who sell women's designer clothing, whom I trust to show me the stuff I like and hopefully at prices I can afford. My budget is not minuscule nor unlimited, so I have to think smart and know what's right for me.
The shape I was born with helps but I have to work to keep it that way. And work I do, at the local gym five days a week.My workout is planned and I follow it vigorously and strictly. I keep my weight within a tight range, I don't binge and my consumption of alcohol is minimal and controlled. I'm not saying this to crow but it's the only way I can keep what I was given at birth in tolerable condition and do justice to the women's designer clothing that I do buy.
I have a pretty wide range of women's clothing designers that I favor. Some of them are the pillars of the fashion industry like De La Renta, Lauren and Klein. I have really good feelings about some of the well known designers like Michael Kors, Vera Wang and Donna Karen. And then I just love prowling around the latest offerings from Philip Lim, Peter Som, Jenni Layne, Alisha Levine, Sari Gueron and Rachel Roy. The "new" designers are just downright exciting and I'm still wacky enough to try a lot of their more daring things especially for party dresses, jeans and intimates.
So I'm looking ahead to the Spring collections and summer. I'm hoping the Significant Other might just spring for a week in the Caribbean soon if he can ever stop working and take ten minutes off. I'm not in to cruises and the old line resorts but I like hot spots where the beaches are pristine and the bands at night good enough to do some serious dancing. Now I've made myself drool!
