Women's Designer Party Dresses

When I'm invited to a party and that's pretty often, I like to not only look my best but to wear something that may be showing in the the forefront of the fashionistas. Consequentally, I hang around the design houses and retailers who feature women's designer party dresses. It's hard work (!) but someone's got to do it!  A couple of my best buds help me to stay honest and make sure I stay within resonable budget boundaries. Considering that, it's truly amazing we remain best buds but we do have a lot of fun and we are never happier than when we are shopping online or out at the malls and trying dresses on.

Some of the design houses have some delicious winter party dresses by the designers this year and I'm having enormouus fun. Since I have a tremendous number of party invitations, I do have a lot of party dress needs right now.  I'm headed to a number of very different functions from formal weddings at an old and beautiful Vermont country Inn to local in-crowd house parties where we rag on each other unmercifully.  Some of the functions are business related and I have to be careful what I pick to wear to those and some it doesn't matter a damn. Going down my current list of favorites, I have a yen for some of the newer names. 

For instance, I'm wearing this one to a house party this weekend. It's a  Alice + Olivia  Pleated Bustier Dress in a deep purple silk. The pleating is at the bodice and there is twisted banding at the empire waist. A hidden zipper at the side. Halter straps tie behind neck. The bustier lining is boned. It's ShopBop's item # ALICE20189 and the dress is priced at $484.OK - that's the one for Saturday night. For Monday, New Year's Eve I'm going out on a limb! Dress further up the thigh, cleavage a little deeper.  Have to watch what I imbibe as I could make an ass out of myself!
